no longer maintained as a standalone module.
A PDF-signature-focused subset is maintained in github.com/pdfcpu/pdfcpu.

Verified: github.com/hhrutter/pkcs7 is only an indirect, transitive dependency here, pulled in via github.com/pdfcpu/pdfcpu (internal/xrechnung -> pdfcpu/pkg/api -> pdfcpu/pkg/pdfcpu -> hhrutter/pkcs7). We never import it directly. Nothing to change on our side; this resolves automatically once pdfcpu migrates off it upstream. Closing as no-action-needed; nagonag will reopen if the situation changes.
