Once a certificate is removed from the server-side configuration for a specific client, the client should detect that change and purge the certs locally.

Maybe introduce a specific syntax like

this-cert.should.exist
-this-cert.used.to.exist.but-can.be-removed-on-the-client

But, actually, just removing the line should be sufficient.
